Course info
In year one, students choose three subjects, at least two of which must be 'Arts' subjects from Group A. Two of these subjects are then continued in years two and three, and normally the degree lasts for three years. (Four years for combinations with a language which include a year abroad.) 'Group A' subjects: Ancient History, Ancient Philosophy, Archaeology, Catalan (can only be studied for 1 year), Classical Studies, Comparative American Studies, Egyptology, English, European Film Studies, French, German, History, History of Art, Irish Studies, Italian (can only be studied for 1 year), Latin American Studies, Music (can not usually be combined with Popular Music), Philosophy, Popular Music, Portuguese, Spanish (can not be combined with Portuguese AND Catalan). 'Group B' subjects: Biology, Business Studies, Computer Science, Earth Sciences (can only be studied for 1 year), Economics with Accounting, Geography, Mathematics, Politics, Psychology (fulfils the requirements for professional accreditation by the British Psychological Society), Sociology.
