This 12-month programme consists of six taught compulsory modules including two quantitative research methods plus two taught elective modules, followed by a research project carried out over the summer period upon completion of semester 2. Pre-Semester 1: Introductory Statistics and Mathematics (Optional/Non Assessed one week programme). Semester 1: Core Compulsory Modules: Quantitative Methods for Research I; Advanced Corporate Finance; Financial Economics. Semester 1 Elective Modules: Portfolio Theory; Supply Chain Operations; Management; International Finance; Finance Project. Semester 2 Core Compulsory Modules; Macroeconomic Theory; Financial Markets; Quantitative Methods for Research II. Plus: Dissertation Module (60 credits). Semester 2 Elective Modules: Introduction to Financial Mathematics; Financial Engineering; Risk Management; Experimental Economics; Finance Project.

Entry Requirements
Normally a 2:i for the MSc for students with a first degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences or a related discipline from a UK university, or an equivalent academic qualification from a similar non-UK institution will be required. However, each application will be treated on an individual basis.
