In order to be eligible for the award of LLM in European Law, a minimum of 60 credits by taught modules plus the Dissertation must be undertaken in European Law. The modules offered on the LLM in European Law (not all modules may run in every academic year) are: Foundations of EU Law (15 credits) Aspects of EU Constitutional Law (15 Credits) The EU and the National Legal Systems (15 Credits) European Convention on Human Rights (30 credits) Law of the European Single Market (15 credits) EU Migration Law (15 credits) Contemporary Issues in EU Social Law and Policy (pending University approval) (15 credits) Legal Methodology (compulsory, 15 credits) Legal Theory (15 credits) Aspects of European Banking Law (15 credits) Child Rights: EU Conventions and UK Law (15 credits) Additional non-Law modules on related topics available in the School of Politics and Communications Studies Plus the Dissertation, worth 60 credits.

Entry Requirements
Applicants for the LLM taught programmes should normally hold a minimum of a 2:i Class Honours BA or LLB Law Degree from a UK university. Applicants with degrees from institutions outside the UK will have their applications considered on an individual, but comparable basis. All applicants are required to supply: a completed application form, proof of qualifications and two references (one of which must, as a minimum, be academic). Applicants are considered on the basis of academic ability, potential and other relevant considerations are fully taken into account. Applicants who have marginally missed the benchmark indicated above, are considered on a discretionary basis.
