The School of Architecture aims to provide an educational environment for students of architecture, building environmental engineering and building construction management so that each gains a better understanding of their future role as professionals in the construction industry and its relationship to that of other professionals. Our teaching and research activities cover a wide range, including design history, aesthetics, acoustics and noise control, lighting engineering, computer aided architectural design, application of artificial intelligence, facilities management, construction management for both the developed and the developing countries, procurement systems, building technology, thermal response of buildings, mechanical and electrical services. On joining our research school, you will enter a challenging, multi-disciplinary environment where specialists in diverse fields are actively working side by side.
