The MSc in Advanced Computer Science is intended for graduates who already have a first degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject, and who wish to extend the knowledge gained in their undergraduate study with more advanced specialised material reflecting current research at the 'cutting edge' of the discipline. The programme comprises a sequence of modules focusing on the research strengths of the Department and is directed at careers in the IT industry that require a degree of research and development. It is also intended as a stepping stone for students who wish to continue their study to a higher level and undertake a PhD. Exemption and accredited by the BCS.
