Course info
This course aims to provide a route for students who wish to follow a postgraduate programme which can provide the first step onto maritime management. It does so by exposing students to a broad range of managerial and technical skills and by developing their ability to communicate effectively, to critically evaluate and question and to operate as a self-learner.

Entry Requirements
A relevant (engineering, mathematics, physical sciences) honours degree from a UK or other accredited university. A holder of an UK MCA Class 1 certificate or an STCW 95 with at least six months service in the position of Chief Officer or equivalent. A UK MCA Chief Engineer certificate or the STCW equivalent with at least six months service as Second Engineer or equivalent. Other qualifications deemed to be equivalent to those noted above. Applicants for whom English is not their first language should hold a recognised English Language qualification of at least IELTS 6.0 standard (TOEFL 550, Cambridge Advanced Grade C). A UK degree exempts students from this requirement.
