Course info
This interdisciplinary programme is a response to new government initiatives and services for children and young people. It is underpinned by the philosophy of Every Child Matters and brings together different services and academic disciplines concerned with children and young people in the broadest sense. This programme allows practitioners to update their professional training to take account of new developments in children's and young people's services. It provides an opportunity for new graduates to further their knowledge and understanding in the area before embarking on their career. The programme will help students to adopt best practice, promote innovation and manage change, to develop skills in interdisciplinary team work, in IT and communication, to develop research skills which enable them to critically reflect on theory and practice.
